This project focused on roadside fuel reduction on private property long Brannan Mountain Road, treating within 500 feet of PG&E infrastructure and driveways adjacent to powerlines.
The resulting shaded fuel breaks protect PG&E electrical assets and reduces the risk of wildfire ignition and spreading into the communities and households that PG&E serves. The neighborhood has improved ingress and egress for residents and emergency services along Brannan Mountain Road, which is a vital secondary evacuation route for Eastern Humboldt residents.
