Willow Creek Fire Safe Council Supports and maintains firewise communities!

The FireWise Communities / USA Recognition Program teaches people living within the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) how to adapt to living with wildfire by preparing for a fire before it occurs. This program empowers communities with tools and resources for reducing their wildfire risk and encourages neighbors to work together to take action that minimizes home loss to wildfire.

Living in a FireWise Certified Community benefits you by creating a framework for action in case of an emergency, increasing access to funding and assistance through grants, and even giving homeowners insurance discounts - get up to 7% off on the California Fair Plan and receive discounts for USAA members. Willow Creek, Salyer, Hawkins Bar, and Burnt Ranch FireWise Certificates are available for download below to prove eligibility.
